REFLECTION POSTER PRESENTATION

AFZA ADLINA

Poster presentation is the last thing to do on the PBL for now. We went print the poster as well as prepared for the presentation together. All of us were divided to few parts and all members help each other to prepare. However, we missed few part of the poster, and felt so bad about it because we know that we can do better than that, but we know that we already did our best to complete all the experiment. This is when all our efforts been presented and it is a bit disappointed for some of our part which we did do present much.

NUR AINI ALIAH

On Thursday, the presentation day! Despite there were errors in our calculations and left-out some calculations in membrane separation process, it was relief PBL has come to end. From this type of learning, we creating stronger group bonding from all those hardship in finding the solutions- stayed up until late night together, teasing, discussing, depending on each other and last but not least trusting on each other. Trust by mean we divided into several parts and trust that everyone did their job and trust on their hardworking to get excellent result. Besides, PBL also exposed how we will face in the industries problems and it is good to have that exposure to get the real picture other than only study on theories. Theories are good but experiences are better. We know which were wrong with our calculations, assumptions in industry scale. In conclusion, i learnt a lot and not only about the membrane reactor designing but also how to manage my stress during this hectic week.

Thank you ;)

On Tuesday in week 12, all of us were expected to complete 80% of the methods and solutions of membrane reactor design which mean all the calculations and all the arameter and properties have been decided. Dr Tazli came to our group and askedregarding our design. He gave some fedbacks and some correction that need to be done in order to have a better solution.

On Thursday is the presentation day. They were two judges that evaluateing us, Dr tazli for reaction engineering part and Dr Ekmi for the separation process II part. All of us are fully prepared for the presentation as all of us already discussed and we answer some questions that being asked and the jydges also gave fedbacks.

From poster presentation, i can increase my confident level as i need to explain in front of the evaluators. Moreover, i can gain more knowledges as we are not only reffered to only lecture notes, but also from other articles and references. Besides, i believe that this kind of PBL will help me a lot during my final year especially final year project and also i can figure out and imagine that, in future, PBL will help me in work industry.

Thank you for the hard work Dr Tazli and all lecturers. ;)

PBL was a good exposure in terms of applying all the knowledge that we have studied from separation process and reaction engineering. By having this, we don't only have to remember and memorize all the formulas but also analyze and do some decision making to design the best membrane reactor that is not only efficient but also economic. How ever since this is our first time doing such a project, a little bit more guidance from the lecturers would've been much appreciated as we were still quite unclear of certain concepts and self-reading didn't help at places. Overall, it was a good and new learning experience which could be improved further for the betterment of the future batches.
